Business Operations, Market Expansion – Korea
Business Operations at Reap works across all teams to drive and enable company growth, with a focus on launching and scaling our most strategic markets. This role will lead our expansion into South Korea, one of the most critical gateways for cross-border trade into Asia and a market poised to lead stablecoin adoption.You will work closely with our across different teams, including the leadership team to navigate regulatory complexity, establish core infrastructure, and build the partnerships required to position Reap as the leading provider of cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure in Korea.
You will:
- Own and execute Reap’s go-to-market and expansion strategy in Korea.
- Build and manage relationships with banks, PSPs, regulators, and key fintech ecosystem players.
- Lead regulatory and licensing exploration (e.g. payment gateway registration, stablecoin compliance pathways).
- Work with product and engineering to localize and prioritize offerings for Korean clients.
- Translate early market signals and demand into scalable business operations.
- Monitor and influence Korea’s evolving digital asset regulatory landscape to ensure Reap remains ahead of the curve.
- Represent Reap in external meetings, policy discussions, and fintech communities in Korea.
You might be a fit if:
- You have 8+ years of experience, including market entry, partnerships, or strategy roles in fintech or financial services.
- You’ve operated within or worked closely with the Korean payments and/or banking ecosystem.
- You have experience engaging with or navigating regulatory agencies such as the FSC or FSS.
- You’re bilingual in Korean and English and comfortable communicating across cultures and business contexts.
- You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and excels at building from the ground up.
- You’re data-driven, highly organized, and can manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
- You’ve worked in or with global teams and understand how to bridge HQ and local market needs.
Bonus:
- Experience working with or building stablecoin or blockchain-based payment infrastructure.
- Exposure to Korea’s evolving crypto, fintech, or cross-border trade regulations.
- A track record of building relationships with Tier 1 banks, PSPs, or digital asset exchanges.
- Experience in regulatory licensing (e.g., setting up PG/KG operations in Korea).
