The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercial Manager/Senior Manager, FP&A and Strategic Finance, to support our strategic and financial decision-making. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be pivotal in driving financial performance and accountability across the Company and business lines through forecasting & planning, pricing strategy, KPIs & benchmarking and capital allocation. This critical role involves acting as a trusted partner to business lines and team leads to provide insights and guidance on its Card Issuing and Cross-border payment flows in both fiat and crypto.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Planning: Orchestrate the periodic forecasting & business performance planning processes, partnering with business and functional leaders to develop robust long-range plans by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and taking into account both global strategic objectives and specific operational drivers.
- Pricing/Revenue Strategy: Act as the finance partner to the business lines to evaluate new pricing structures, partnership agreements for the various products, modelling the financial impact of pricing decisions on revenue, gross margin, and other financial/non-financial metrics.
- KPIs & Benchmarking: Establish, track, and report on a comprehensive set of financial and operational KPIs that provide a pulse on the health of the business, benchmarking the company's performance against industry peers and best-in-class companies.
- Capital/Resource Allocation: Develop and implement a robust framework for evaluating strategic initiatives, market expansion plans, and new product development; partner with business leaders to assess resource allocation (i.e. headcount, OPEX, etc) and liquidity/capital management.
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, business partnering or strategic finance
- Significant portion within the fintech, payments, e-money, or banking sector
- Deep understanding of one or more: card issuing, payment networks, cross-border payments, FX management, or crypto
Core Competencies:
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt financial frameworks to support markets across their entire lifecycle, from initial scale-up to established optimization
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different levels
- Analytics: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions. Adept at troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues
- Technical Skills: Proficient with financial software, payment platforms, reconciliation tools, and reporting systems. Advanced Excel skills are often required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are a plus
