What you’ll do
Leading UX Research at Reap
As our Senior UX Researcher, you’ll be the most senior specialist in this discipline. You’ll create the frameworks, standards, and tools that enable research to thrive—not just within your own projects, but across the entire product organisation.
Your work will scale through AI-assisted research models, transforming research into a force-multiplier—unlocking insight and impact across the organisation. You’ll help every Product Designer grow their research literacy—embedding user insight into how we design and ship.
Responsibilities
- Set the standard for research at Reap—defining SOPs, processes, and templates (e.g. FigJam research frameworks, interview guides, usability testing protocols).
- Conduct end-to-end research—from generative discovery to evaluative testing—across multiple product areas and business lines.
- Build scalable training and resources—workshops, playbooks, and office hours—to raise research maturity across the Design team.
- Leverage AI to extend reach—train and tune AI models that help designers run and synthesise lightweight research at scale.
- Work cross-functionally—partner with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure insights shape both product and brand decisions.
- Champion the voice of the customer—bring clarity to complex financial workflows and uncover opportunities for innovation.
- Continuously evolve our research practice—embracing new tools and methods that make insights faster, more rigorous, and more actionable.
About you
A strategic, ambitious, hands-on research leader
- 7+ years of UX research or related experience, with a portfolio that shows impact across complex products (B2B SaaS or fintech experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to set research strategy and standards—building frameworks, SOPs, and scalable practices.
- Strong mixed-methods background—skilled in qualitative and quantitative approaches, from interviews and usability testing to surveys and analytics.
- Comfortable operating cross-functionally—you can influence PMs, Designers, and Engineers, and bring them into the research process.
- Excited to leverage AI in research—from analysis to synthesis—and to shape how AI can scale insight across an organisation.
- A teacher and mentor—able to train and coach Product Designers to become more research-literate.
- Excellent communicator—you turn complex findings into clear, actionable insights for all levels of the company.
- Known for raising the bar—your work improves not just individual projects, but the way an entire organisation approaches design.
- An original perspective or background—you bring something unique that broadens our creative diversity.
- Degree in HCI, Psychology, Design, or related field is welcome, but we equally value self-taught researchers with mastery of craft.
