What You'll Do 

• Regulatory Leadership: Serve as the primary Responsible Officer (RO) for Type 1 (Dealing in Securities) and Type 4 (Advising on Securities) regulated activities.

• VA Oversight: Provide expert oversight of VA dealing activities, including stablecoin off-ramping, OTC trading, and the lifecycle management of tokenized securities.

• Operational Supervision: Senior supervision of daily VA operations across front, middle, and back-office functions (order routing, trade clearing, and settlement) with SFC-licensed VATPs and qualified custodians.

• Tokenization Due Diligence: Lead technical and legal due diligence for tokenized securities (e.g., Money Market Funds), in coordination with Reap’s law firms and regulatory compliance teams. Assess DLT network robustness, smart contract integrity, and on-chain versus off-chain settlement finality.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure firm-wide adherence to the latest SFC circulars, the SFO, AMLO, and the Client Money/Securities Rules.

• SFC Liaison: Act as the primary professional liaison for the SFC; manage licensing updates, regulatory returns, and onsite inspections.

• Conduct & Training: Mentor Licensed Representatives (LRs) on client suitability for complex digital products and maintain stringent KYC/AML standards.

• Board Reporting: Advise the Board on regulatory risk, internal control effectiveness, and the compliance health of Reap’s HK regulated business.

What We’re Looking For

• Mandatory SFC License: Active and unconditional Responsible Officer (RO) status for Type 1. Candidates who have previously managed compliance for a licensed VATP or are currently licensed for Type 4 are highly prioritized.

• VA Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in virtual asset trading and OTC trading in a managerial or supervisory capacity, demonstrating a command of the current and evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets in Hong Kong.

• Technical Plus: Familiarity with the legal and technical "wrappers" for Tokenized Securities (MMFs) and Real-World Assets (RWA) is highly preferred.

• Education: Degree in Law, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Attributes: Sound independent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.
